Joseph Kony. Has a child army. Violent guy. Leader of a rebel movement in Uganda. Uses little girls as prostitutes. Also, subject of the latest facebook craze.
It continues to amaze me that people put things up on facebook, to be seen by their friends (who have seen and posted the same thing), in an effort to "raise awareness." Maybe they should actually do something about it. Like contact a state legislator, contact a national legislator, donate money, write a letter to someone affected (to show that the world cares), raise money to donate, etc. But no, putting it on facebook will somehow help.
The Economist and National Geographic had articles on this last year. He's been known about for months. But only NOW do people start "caring."
And more truth for lazy people. This is actually really, really old news.
ADDITION:
Invisible Children (the people who posted the KONY video): a really, really bad non-profit organization. Most of the money donated to them doesn't even make it to their "cause"! Want proof? I, for one, trust the Guardian. On top of that, making Kony famous could actually HURT Uganda. He isn't even IN UGANDA ANYMORE.
